The Philips GP412 is an improved version of its predecessor, the GP401. The main enhancement concerns further increasing the mobility of the needle suspension. The needle holder is secured in place by a very thin CrNiFe fastening wire.

Frequency range is 20-20,000 Hz within 2 dB.
Channel separation is better than 24 dB.
The moving mass is less than 0.8 mg.
