INDIA BRITANNICA. Bombay. 1/2 Rupee. 1917(B). George V (1910–1936)
- Value: 1/2 Rupia.
Year: 1917.
Reign: George V (1910–1936).
- Inscriptions: Obverse: GEORGE V KING EMPEROR. Reverse: HALF RUPEE INDIA 1917, surrounded by a rich floral motif with lotus flowers, roses, and thistles.
- Grading: NGC MS63.
Colonial silver coin issued during British rule in India and minted at the Bombay mint, identified by the letter 'B' below the date. The obverse features the crowned bust of King George V dressed in imperial uniform. The reverse, of great artistic beauty, displays a complex vegetal ornamentation around the face value and issuing country. This design is part of the iconic 'floral' series started in 1911. The specimen is in excellent condition, with sharp details and original luster, certified by NGC with a grade of MS63.
