Description from the seller

19th-century mahogany secretary with a drop-leaf top and internal compartments, characterized by:
Lower part with two large drawers and one less deep (within the base frame).
- a flip-up door, divided into a central area (like a bar unit) with an elegant trifora with four columns and a mirror on the back, a single upper drawer, and six lower drawers, of which four are small and two larger ones in the center that hide the mechanism of two secret compartments.
A top part consisting of a drawer (concealed within the crest frame).
The mahogany furniture features a classic and elegant style, suitable for various rooms in the house, such as the study or the living room.
The veneer shows signs of discoloration and some stains, with small pieces missing (see photo). The background mirror in the central compartment has dark stains. All drawers and the drop-front open and close correctly with a key (only one key provided). The drop-front remains parallel to the floor. The mechanism of the secret compartments is functional. The lock of the drop-front works well, while the locks on the drawers are a bit stiff because they have been used infrequently.
Transport: Pickup in Milan (city center, second floor with elevator) by the buyer is the only option, as a quote requires knowing the destination (including the floor and access conditions to the premises).
WARNING. Only the furniture is for sale (the other objects are used to illustrate the size and uses of the compartments).
