Description from the seller
Antique cake server made of silver and horn, Art Deco pastry or cake server, German cake server, 835 silver pastry serving utensil.
This is a beautiful antique Art Deco cake server, made in Germany during the 1920s-1930s.
The elegant cake server features a classic Art Deco design. The handle has a conical, octagonal shape and is decorated with a sharp, geometrically engraved pattern of repeating diamonds, each adorned with a delicate Sunburst detail.
The piece is crafted from a beautiful combination of materials. The handle is made of solid 835 silver (83.5% pure silver), clearly stamped with 835. The spade-shaped blade is made from natural horn, chosen for its warm, honey-colored tone and because it does not impart a metallic taste to delicate cakes, pâtés, or pastries. It is the perfect utensil to serve desserts with elegance and style.
