Decorative agate and quartz slab on a base, featuring a Special White Agate Formation from Brasile.
Description from the seller
This splendid slab is a natural example of agate with quartz formations, originating from siliceous-rich geological environments where cavities filled with chalcedony concretions and crystals have developed. The section has been cut and hand-finished to highlight the internal details of the structure, revealing a fascinating mineral landscape rich in chromatic contrasts.
On the front side, there are finely stratified bands of agate outlining the edges of the central cavities, characterized by botroidal zones and transparent quartz crystals, with hues ranging from ice gray to reddish-brown, passing through shades of honey yellow and ochre. Some areas display dendritic inclusions and concentric formations that evoke organic patterns and plant motifs.
The back, left more natural, features the classic silicatic matrix with softer tones, enlivened by areas of crystallization in microcrystalline quartz. The irregular, unpolished edges retain the raw and authentic appearance of the original formation, creating a harmonious contrast with the brighter, more defined internal veins.
The slab is mounted on a satin-finished gold-colored metal base, designed to ensure stability and elegance. Thanks to its slender profile and rich details, this piece is a perfect decorative object, capable of enhancing any modern or classic environment, and at the same time a magnificent mineralogical collection piece.
A work of nature that unites science, art, and beauty.
