A Stable Balance shungite cube, described as Shungite – The Stone of Primordial Carbon Primordial Shungite Cube, from Russia, weighing about 378 g with 55 mm side length, carved from a single block and with one edge removed to sit stably.
Description from the seller
This cube in shungite, carved from a single solid block, is an object of strong material and symbolic presence. With sides measuring 55 mm and weighing approximately 380 grams, it immediately conveys a sense of solidity, density, and concentration. It is not a decorative shape in the common sense, but a full, essential volume that occupies space with determination. The geometry of the cube, an archetype of absolute stability, is here reinterpreted with a functional and conceptual detail: one edge has been deliberately removed, creating a flat surface that allows the cube to be placed and kept in a stable position. This choice breaks the mathematical perfection without distorting it, introducing a point of dialogue between geometric rigor and practical use. The cube can thus be oriented naturally, almost as if it were a sculpture designed to find its own balance. The surfaces are smoothly polished, revealing the authentic appearance of shungite: a deep, opaque black, dotted with fine gray-anthracite veins, microfractures, and tiny inclusions.
