Large ceiling chandelier made of Murano glass with 12 'pulegoso' glass leaves and a central cup.
Very similar ceiling lights have been attributed to Venini and Barovier, and therefore also produced by smaller Muranese glassworks, but still at considerable costs at the time. This lamp comes from an apartment in Venice's Dorsoduro district, but the purchase documents were not preserved.
The golden metallic structure supports a double row of leaves, six on the upper one and six on the lower one.
A central cup with a diameter of about 25 cm covers the connection joints of the leaves.
Inside, on the circumference, there are six lights that project onto the leaves, creating very suggestive effects.
In the center, there are two more lights that can create a pleasing color effect.

I mainly collect Murano chandeliers thanks to the collaboration with some companies that restore apartments and palaces in Venice. In this way, over time, I have recovered the chandeliers of elegant and often ancient houses in the lagoon and in the nearby areas.
Murano glass has an incomparable charm: every piece, even the simplest, has a story hidden in its fragility and its iridescent light.
