Description from the seller

Antique Christofle cutlery service – 'Baguette' series – vintage collection (late 19th century)
Splendid and rare Christofle cutlery set, belonging to the historic Baguette series, one of the most iconic models produced by the prestigious Parisian maison between 1877 and 1899. It is a collectible set of notable historical and aesthetic value, made of silver-plated metal with the characteristic Christofle silver plating.
Each piece is accompanied by a double hallmark, guaranteeing authenticity, and bears the ancient Christofle mark used between 1862 and 1935, a period during which the manufacturer solidified its international reputation.
The service is crafted in the refined style of Louis XVI, recognizable for its clean lines and the elegant sobriety of its shapes. On the back of each piece's handle, the initial 'Z' is engraved, certifying its original provenance from a single family set.
