When photographer Ramón Masats, one of Spain's most influential photographers of the 20th century, began this photographic essay in 1955, Pamplona was already a fashionable place for artists and writers. It initially gained popularity thanks to Ernest Hemingway's account of the Sanfermines, the bull runs, in his 1926 novel Fiesta. Subsequently, publications worldwide commissioned photographs of Pamplona from artists such as Inge Morath, Catalá-Roca, Leopoldo Pomes, and Lucien Clergue. It was the golden age of photojournalism, and Masats was present. This volume, with text in English and Spanish, is a reissue of Masats's acclaimed 1958 publication. It features nearly 200 dynamic black-and-white photographs (many of them unpublished) of the legendary Pamplona festival and its bullfights, along with Hemingway's journalistic account of the festival and an essay by contemporary Spanish photographer Chema Conesa.
NOTE: Books travel insured and packaged according to Catawiki's standards. If, despite all this, they arrive at their destination with any damage sustained during the journey, buyers are advised to claim the corresponding compensation from both the shipping company and their insurance company.
Customs and import fees for the respective countries, as well as shipping fees to applicable islands, are the buyer's responsibility.
We expressly point out that following the modification of the right of withdrawal by EU legislation, the buyer must bear the costs of returning the goods, regardless of the value limit or the reason for the return.
