Rare complete notarial ensemble dated November 7, 1853, originating from the canton of Bayonne (France).
Entirely bound original document secured with a red thread, comprising 9 very legible handwritten pages, written in brown ink on laid paper.
This is a marriage contract established before Maître Sansot, notary, concerning the Bouthouloume / Fontan families, including:
the complete marriage contract
asset arrangements
financial commitments
the conditions of endowment
a final handwritten receipt from 1854 (attached within the same binding)
several printed fiscal stamps of 25c and 50c
Very clear, recessed stamps (dry seals of the French administration).
The manuscript is a superb example of 19th-century notarial calligraphy, perfect for genealogy, local history, or collecting pre-Philatelic fiscal documents.
