Elegant working / jewelry table - Veneto, second half of the twentieth century - restored
It is proposed as a refined work table or jewelry box, probably made in Veneto in the second half of the twentieth century. It is an elegant piece of furniture, with a classic and sophisticated design, perfect for enriching environments with a traditional or eclectic style.
Description:
Wooden structure, with the central body veneered in poplar burl veneer.
Foldable upper piano with two storage compartments, one of which is removable.
Rectangular design with four saber-legged supports, enhanced by a fine inlay that follows its curved shape harmoniously.
The entire surface is decorated with elegant fillets.
On the sides, rectangular geometric motifs.
Refined chessboard design in wood veneer with inlays.
The bottom panel is also inlaid and fluted, maintaining aesthetic consistency on every side.
Conditions:
The furniture has undergone a careful conservation restoration aimed at preserving its original characteristics. The photos prior to the restoration (included in the listing) specifically document the intervention on the chessboard top, where a conservative approach was preferred over completely replacing the veneer, in order to maintain the piece's authenticity.
