Two wooden Art Deco tins from the Netherlands, dating to the early 20th century.
Description from the seller
Bring style, atmosphere, and authenticity into your home with this beautiful duo of Art Deco tin storage boxes, crafted by the renowned GERO. Both boxes feature a lovely hammered surface and are decorated with an elegant floral wreath on the lid. A rare and particularly beautiful example of early 20th-century Dutch design.
The large box was originally designed for storing cigars; the smaller one served as a matching matchbox. Together, they form a splendid whole that is both decorative and functional. The warm wooden interior creates a beautiful contrast with the matte tin exterior.
The condition is appropriate for the age: light dents, signs of use, and a characterful patina that emphasizes authenticity without detracting from the appearance. The GERO stamp is clearly present, confirming its origin.
A stunning set for collectors of Art Deco, GERO enthusiasts, or for those who want to enrich their interior with a special historical touch.
