WMF - WMF - Germany - circa 1900 - Art Nouveau - Two-section Table Stand with a Figure of a Girl - Serving dish - Metal

An elegant Art Nouveau/Jugendstil table stand by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik). The composition features a seated young woman.
At the bottom is a wide base with two oval sections decorated with WMF's characteristic floral ornamentation. At the front is a large motif of leaves and berries. Some of the stems and leaves are highlighted in a warm brass/gold tone, creating a two-tone metal effect.
The item can be used as a tabletop vide-poche/pocket emptier, a stand for sweets or jewellery, or as a decorative centrepiece for a table or chest of drawers.amped marks to base.

On the reverse side, there are cast WMF hallmarks:

- an ostrich in a polygonal frame with the inscription WMF
- the letter B (Britannia metal, a tin-based alloy)
- I/O – standard silver plating
- OX – oxidised (darkened) finish.

Please note the following:
- the fingers on the right hand of the female figure are missing (see detailed photos);
- there is wear and partial loss of silver plating on the reliefs;
- there are slight scratches, pinholes and patina on the surface;
