Steiff 'Record-Peter' – mechanical monkey on tricycle (circa 1950s)
Rare collectible from Steiff: 'Record-Peter,' a mechanical monkey on a red tricycle with wooden wheels and a metal frame. The monkey is covered with brown artificial silk plush (uncertain if correct), with face and hands made of felt. The typical hole of the missing Steiff button is visible in the left ear.
The toy requires repair: the monkey no longer stands up independently, and the bellows is leaky. Signs of age and use are present on the wooden and paper coverings. Therefore, the price is well below the usual level.

Despite its heavily played condition, it is a charming piece of Steiff history and a sought-after collector's item (can be repaired).
