Upper part of a marble pillar with leaf motifs topped by bays.
The pillar is made of white marble with remnants of polychromy.

This fragment of a pillar was found in Carthage in 1972; an old label indicates it comes from the palace of Queen Dido, information confirmed by the owner's family.
