Description from the seller

Signed C. Cernigliari-Melilli (1870–1944)
Italy / France, around 1900

Height: 53 cm — Width: 19 cm

Rare pair of bronze vases with sculptural elegance, decorated with reed and lisdodde motifs that express vitality and the dynamics of nature.
The gracefully curved handles and the organic foot evoke rolling leaves and embody the Art Nouveau ideal: the fusion of form and life.
Each vase bears the engraved signature C. Cernigliari-Melilli and a spout stamp 'Garanti Déposée' (Registered Guarantee), accompanied by the serial number 6652, which certifies the authenticity of an early 20th-century edition.
