Chinese ancient culture, Fahua turquoise-glazed dragon amphora incense vase from the Ming dynasty, an altar vase on a hexagonal foot with two vertical handles, 20.2 cm high by 10.4 cm wide, in good condition.

Chinese Fahua altar vase in turquoise glazed ceramic.
Ming dynasty baluster vase in the shape of an amphora resting on a hexagonal foot.
Large conical neck, two stylized vertical handles, flared lip with a vertical edge decorated with a series of raised dots.
The belly, covered with a turquoise blue and ochre glaze, is decorated on each side with a stylized dragon.
Dimensions: height 20.2 cm - width 10.4 cm.
Ming Dynasty period (1368 - 1644)
Fahua vases were produced from the 14th century under the Yuan dynasty, in Shanxi province in northern China and probably in Jingdezhen, the site of imperial kilns from the Ming period. This type of ceramics appears to have been very little exported, and regnal seals are nonexistent.
Very good condition, with some loss of glaze, no restoration.
