Copper engraving by Elias Baeck (alias Heldenmuth) (1679-1747),
He was a German painter, engraver, and cartographer. Elias Baeck studied in Rome, where he earned the nickname Heldenmuth (Heroic Courage). He worked in Venice and Ljubljana before finally settling in Augsburg.
He signed his prints E. B. a. H. for Elias Baeck, also known as Heldenmuth. Baeck engraved historical subjects, landscapes, battle scenes, portraits, and maps.
