Description from the seller
➜ This is a beautifully hand-crafted wooden ushabti, inspired by the brightly painted funerary figurines of the New Kingdom and Third Intermediate Period. The figure is carved in classic mummiform shape and decorated with vibrant pigments: a red face, black tripartite wig, and a detailed broad collar in blue, green, and white.
A vertical column of painted hieroglyphs runs down the front, echoing the style of authentic ushabti spell inscriptions. The reverse is plain, just like many historical wooden examples.
Ushabtis were placed in tombs to serve the deceased in the afterlife, performing agricultural tasks on their behalf. This piece captures the charm and colour of museum originals while remaining a high-quality modern replica.
➜ Why You’ll Love It:
• Beautiful polychrome colours that make it an eye-catching display piece.
• Amazing stylistic details—tripartite wig, broad collar, and hieroglyphic column.
• Hand-crafted from wood, giving it a warm, traditional, museum-like feel.
• Perfect for collectors of Egyptian funerary art and high-quality replicas.
• Adds historical richness and character to any interior or collection.
➜ Don’t Miss Out:
Hand-painted wooden ushabtis are among the most iconic symbols of ancient Egypt. Pieces with this level of colour and craftsmanship are always in high demand.
A great chance to add a striking, display-ready replica to your collection—bid before it’s gone!
➜ Height: 24.5 cm
➜ Width: 8 cm
➜ Weight: 155 gram
