The Minolta XD-7 is a high-quality 35mm SLR camera and one of Minolta's most beloved models. It was the first SLR with both shutter speed and aperture priority, alongside full manual control. The operation is smooth, the shutter works accurately, and the camera is known for its reliability and fine ergonomics.

The included MD Rokkor 45mm is a compact and very sharp prime lens with beautiful contrast and natural colors—perfect for everyday use, street photography, and portraits.

The shutter works, and the diaphragm also functions properly. The timings seem correct at the lower speeds, but the accuracy at faster speeds is not guaranteed. The camera has been stationary for a long time. When batteries are in the camera, the information bar on the right side of the viewfinder lights up; its accuracy has not been tested. The illuminated information bar provides an indication of the shutter speed settings.

The lens is free of scratches, and the diaphragm responds well. Some dust is visible in the viewfinder.

Overall, a decent camera that, with some love and maintenance, can start taking beautiful photos again.
