Two earthenware tiles from Westraven tegelfabriek (Faience) Utrecht, Netherlands, dating 1950–1970, depicting construction workers, the larger tile measuring 34 × 40 cm with a 5 cm relief and the smaller 29 × 23 cm with a 4.4 cm relief, total weight 8.5 kg, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and spots.

Two so-called profession tiles from n.v. Faïence and Tegelfabriek Westraven – Gebr. Ravesteijn – Utrecht 1844 – 1994.
Presentation of construction workers in cement and tile application.
The largest one contains a Dutch saying: If you have nothing to do, don't do it here. In other words: work is done here, and not otherwise. This tile is signed in the plate with J.V.
Vakwerk decorative tiles, with the glaze applied by hand. In buildings in the Netherlands, you occasionally see these tiles used as facade stones. These tiles are unused.
The largest side is 34 x 40 cm and the relief is 5 cm thick.
The smaller tile measures 29 x 23 cm, and the relief is 4.4 cm thick.
Total weight lost: 8.5 kilograms.
