Antique wooden and gilded stucco-framed mirror from France, dating to 1850–1900 in Louis XV revival style, 60 × 92 cm, in good condition with some wear from age.
Description from the seller
Wooden-framed mirror with gilded stucco, richly decorated with scrollwork, leafy garlands, and Rocaille motifs. The pediment features a large stylized shell flanked by volutes, a classic symbol of the Louis XV vocabulary revisited at the end of the 19th century.
The uprights and the crossbar feature a prominently developed relief leafy decor, demonstrating generous decorative work. The slightly pitted glass enhances the authentic character of the whole.
French work from the end of the 19th century.
