Description from the seller
Set of 17 crystal glasses – 4 different sizes
Probable attribution: RCR Cristalleria Italiana – the 80s/90s.
(Per acqua, red wine, white wine, and sparkling wine)
Fascinating set consisting of 17 glasses in cut crystal with vertical facets, a characteristic associated with RCR Cristalleria Italiana, one of the most renowned companies for its pressed and polished crystals with star and ray patterns.
The design features:
Flared cup with petal/bundle processing, typical of RCR's glasses from the '80s–'90s lines.
Molded stem with vertical grooves that continue the body's geometry.
Base with a smooth finish and balanced proportions.
The entire setting offers an elegant and luminous table arrangement, with a play of light that is particularly strong thanks to the multiple facets.
The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.
Composition (17 glasses in total)
The service is not complete, but it offers four different measures.
5 water glasses
5 red wine glasses
4 white wine glasses
3 glasses of sparkling wine or champagne
Total: 17 pieces
The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.
Characteristics
Bright and transparent crystal
Fan-like pattern with vertical bands
Finely shaped stem with optical continuity.
Italian manufacturing, very likely attributed to RCR (style, cut, thickness, and workmanship match).
Production of the 1980s–1990s
The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.
Conditions
Good overall condition.
Normal signs of age and use, without significant breaks or chips. Some bases show a normal patina.
The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.
Note on attribution
The shape of the cups, the facette work, the stem structure, and the base are highly consistent with RCR models (such as Opera, Cristallo Italiano, Royal), even if unmarked—as is often the case with tableware production of that era.
