AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Fossil horn tip from Oeros - Bos primigenius

Very beautiful large part of the horn cavity.

The Aurochs (Bos primigenius) is an extinct cattle species.

Although modern domestic cattle descend from the aurochs, the aurochs was much larger. The shoulder height of an aurochs bull was probably between 160 and 185 centimeters, and that of the aurochs cow around 150 centimeters. An adult bull weighed up to 1,000 kilograms.

After the last ice age, aurochs, mammoths, and woolly rhinoceroses disappeared permanently.

This Hoornpit is desilted and still in clean water; everyone preserves it in their own way. I will gladly leave this decision to the next owner.

Doggerland no longer exists, but traces of it can still be found on the beaches of the North Sea. It is not uncommon for walkers, enthusiasts, and researchers to find something special there.

So, wondrous treasures like a horn pit from an Oerol. Bones are also brought above water in dredged sand flats and in fishing nets, just as in summer 2024.
