Egyptian amulet in turquoise faience
Sekhmet goddess amulet in glazed faience, blue-green.
She is depicted seated on a throne, wearing the Pschent (a very rare iconography).
This exceptional turquoise faience amulet depicts Sekhmet, the warrior goddess portrayed with a lioness head.
Measuring about 4 cm by 1.5 cm, its appearance is hybrid, both human and animal, with a lioness head.
New Kingdom, 28th to 20th Dynasty, 1580 to 1077 BC.
Exact dimensions: 41 mm x 14 mm - Perfect condition
Provenance: Belgium, Galerie V.D.K.
Previous provenance history, a significant collection assembled around 1989.
