Description from the seller

Black-headed bunting (Emberiza cirlus) – 10x13x16 cm

Beautiful specimen of the Black Redstart, a small passerine bird belonging to the Emberizidae family, typical of rural and hilly landscapes of southern Europe. This species, with an elegant appearance and vivid colors, is easily recognizable by the contrast of its plumage and its melodious song that brightens fields and hedges during spring.

The adult male, like the one depicted, displays plumage with vivid yellow tones on the chest and throat, dark streaks, and a reddish-brown back, while the head features a distinctive pattern with a mask and prominent eyebrow. The specimen is posed naturally, with well-preserved plumage and realistic rendering, resting on a naturalistic wooden base.

Conditions: Excellent, well-maintained plumage with vivid colors.

Support: Natural wooden base

A piece of sure charm, ideal for enriching a collection of taxidermied passerines, with the distinction of representing one of the most typical and singing species of our avifauna.

Weight approximately 0.5 kg.
