Duck decoy - Antieke lokeend - Wood

This is an original wooden decoy duck. Decoy ducks were traditionally carved from wood and used in hunting to attract real ducks. They are made from lightweight wood so that they floated well at the time.
Nowadays, they are also collected as folk art.
This item is in good condition considering its age. The colors are still clearly visible. It is obviously used. Here and there, holes can be seen that correspond with straw thatch.
