The glass figurine of 'Leda and the Swan' is approximately 11.5 cm tall. It kneels on a base with a diameter of 5.2 cm.

In classical Greek mythology, Leda was the daughter of the Aetolian king Thestius and the wife of King Tyndareus of Sparta.

Leda bore four children: Helen (later Helena of Troy) and Polydeuces by Zeus, and Castor and Clytemnestra by her husband.
