AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Splendid and elegant cloisonné vase with marvelous colors of the enamels and delicate and enveloping floral decorations.
This excellent scenic vase has an original handcrafted carved wooden base. The vase dates from the second half of the 20th century and comes from China.
Cloisonné, also called Byzantine lustre, is an artistic enamel decoration technique in which thin wires (filigree) or strips or small metal partitions (usually copper), cells or alveoli (called 'cloisons' in French), are soldered or glued to a support plate of the work to be created; subsequently, in the areas outlined by the metal, enamel is poured, resulting in a kind of mosaic whose tesserae are precisely bounded by the metal strips.
This beautiful vase is in excellent overall condition with a precious and very delicate vintage patina on its surface.
Total height 24 cm, height without wooden support 21 cm.
The lot will be carefully packed and shipped to the buyer's home via express courier.
