Description from the seller
Vintage 1990s Silver-Plated Cutlery Set by Esmeyer / ESM (est. 1949 – present)
A magnificent contemporary Louis XV–inspired silver-plated cutlery service crafted by the esteemed German cutlery maker Esmeyer, Düsseldorf, during the second half of the 20th century. Made to the German “100” silver standard (100 g of pure silver used to plate 24 main pieces) over 18/8 stainless steel, this set contains an estimated 360 g of .999 fine silver in its plating. Only a handful of top manufacturers continue to produce silver-plated stainless-steel cutlery, making this set particularly desirable. 18/8 silver-plated stainless steel makes the cutlery exceptionally durable an long-lasting.
The service bears the “100” silver mark and comprises 126 pieces, providing full settings for 12 guests, along with 6 matching serving pieces. All items are presented in an elegant, well-crafted wooden canteen.
