A terracotta Buddhistic relic - sitting Buddha in a lotus flower votive plaque from the ancient Indochinese, Sukhothai Kingdom culture.
Second Millennium AD.
In good condition. It has been cleaned partly, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased mid 90's in Bangkok/Thailand by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
