I am Vincent Mink, a self-taught pop art painter and illustrator of original drawings.
My style is called as they call it "Popart". I mainly perform this technique in colour, black and white and shades of gray.
As a child I was always drawing and I have never given up on that. Every now and then I would make work and then give it back to someone who thought it would be nice to hang on the wall, but other than that I didn't really do much with it. Until a few years ago. Then I started producing works of art again.
I noticed that people in my area needed a nice work for their home. There was a demand for (mostly music, film and sports) heroes from the past and present, but mainly from their youth or from an artist who simply evokes a beautiful memory. My genre is now mainly music, film and sports portraits from various periods, which can go back to quite recently. It makes me happy to be able to paint these and I do so with full dedication. I think it is especially important that the works I make are recognized at a glance. Then I know it's okay.
