Flacon compte-gouttes à godrons verticales, a Syrian glass dropper bottle dating to the 3rd–4th century AD, in very good condition, height 113 mm, width 80 mm, depth 80 mm.
Description from the seller
Dropper bottle, also known as a foot sprinkler, made of translucent yellow glass.
It is covered on the outside with a partial iridescence of white to brownish color. The interior of the body is also partially covered with a layer of iridescence of golden color.
Blown glass with a stout globular body, it is decorated with five vertical flutes created by pinching and topped with chiseled buttons. The base is adorned with five small glass feet arranged in a circular pattern.
A short cylindrical container equipped with an internal dropper device and formed by folding. It features a wide flared opening with a rolled lip inward and decorated underneath with a concentric turquoise glass thread.

Provenance: Private collection from Düsseldorf acquired in the 1970s and 1980s at German auction houses.
