Grande bouteille cylindrique ansée in translucent greenish glass dating to the 1st–2nd century AD, of Roman antique Empire culture, from a French private collection, acquired in 1978 at the Versailles sale (Étude Perrin et Fromentin, Lot 29), condition Excellent.
Description from the seller
Large cylindrical bottle with handle, made of slightly greenish, translucent glass, almost colorless on the body. Partial traces of internal iridescence remain, silvery to bluish in color, and covered with earthy deposits.
A cylindrical body with a concave base and a slightly inclined shoulder. A cylindrical neck flared on both sides, with an everted lip that is rolled outwards and connected to the body by a wide, angled, ribbed handle.
