Description from the seller

Very beautiful, large, and decorative pulley. This industrial pulley is probably from the Rotterdam harbor. The pulley likely dates from the last half of the 19th century and measures (with hook) 47cm high, 19cm wide, 19cm deep, and weighs approximately 6kg. It is indeed a very large and heavy pulley!

The pulley is still 100% original and looks as if it was taken from an old harbor scene. In any interior, this harbor tool is a very decorative item and conversation piece, but it can also be used to hang kitchen utensils, or as a coat rack, or a lamp.

The pulley has a very beautiful wood grain. The wood is very well preserved because it has been regularly treated with wax. The pulley has two wooden rollers that still turn smoothly on their axles. You could still use the tool normally. The hook with a hole for securing a load is particularly beautiful and old. Although the pulley may be about 150 years old, you could still lift heavy loads with it. It is still 100% functional (the rollers run smoothly and are still in perfect condition!) and all connecting materials, such as the central bolt and rivets, are still original (see photos).

Very beautiful is the wood with its shine. The wooden rollers and the wrought iron rivets used to construct the wooden frame give this pulley a charming and captivating appearance! The wood and the weathered metal are preserved and have a lovely shine. The pulley is still very sturdy and stable. Also beautiful is the rope with which the pulley has been hung from a hoist point. The rope has likely been replaced more than once in history, but this pulley has always been wrapped with a rope. You can see this at the points where the rope has worn into the wood (see photos), very beautiful!

This pulley is a very beautiful decorative object, but it can also be used to hang a lamp or another item. It could even still be used as a pulley! This industrial heritage piece is definitely a conversation starter!

The pulley is expertly packed and shipped insured.
