Roman Empire - Valerian I (253-259 AD) bronze sestertius (15.55 g, 28 mm) from Rome mint (254-256 AD) ORIENS AVG. Sun.
Imperator C P Lic Valerianus P F Augustus, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Eastern Emperors, Sol standing left holding a whip and raising his hand; S-C across the field. RIC 170.
Very fine condition. Beautiful dark green original patina.
