Description from the seller
Minolta Autocord RG II Rokkor 75mm 1:3.5 medium format TLR camera
The Autocord is a family of medium format TLR cameras manufactured by Minolta between 1955 and 1966. Its main feature is the focusing system, which is performed using a sliding lever located beneath the lens, instead of the side button common in other brands. It is also very original in its film housing, positioned on the top of the camera. This design ensures that the film does not bend before being exposed, thus guaranteeing a perfect flatness, unlike what happens with the Rolleiflex and other brands. Lastly, the Autocord features a Rokkor 75mm 1:3.5 lens. This is a Tessar-type optical system with a superb reputation for high resolution and contrast.
The RG II model offered here was introduced in 1962 and is characterized by the introduction of a new, improved Minolta Rokkor lens and the use of an Optiper MVL shutter with the modern shutter speed sequence.
The camera is in perfect working condition. All speeds function correctly. The focus lever is smooth and precise. The viewfinder is clear and bright, and the focusing screen shows no scratches or marks. The film advance and exposure counter work well. The lens is in good condition, with no marks, fungi, scratches, separation, or fog.
Aesthetically, the camera is also in good condition, with no dents or dings. It shows minimal signs of use, mainly small scratches on the focus cap's paint. Please review the photographs for a complete detail of the camera's condition, as they are part of the description.
