Description from the seller
Bang & Olufsen Beogram 1500 vintage vinyl turntable with high-end hi-fi hardware. Good overall condition. Danish manufacture. Careful delivery. Light signs of use, small crack in the veneer (see photos). Operation is very good. This turntable should be connected to a good amplifier to achieve optimal volume and performance.
Passionate about radio, Peter Bang (1900-1957) built a sector station as a child that operated without a battery or accumulator. He later studied engineering and graduated in 1924. He met Svend Olufsen (1897-1949) and participated with him in radio experiments on his parents' estate in Quistrup. This marked the beginning of the founding of the two partners' company. In the following decades, the two friends developed new audio products: radios, amplifiers, speakers, gramophones, and film recording equipment. The company grew into an important player in this sector in the Danish market. He collaborated with leading architects and designers such as Sigvard Bernadotte, Acton Björn, Jacob Jensen, and David Lewis. The company offers a range of products characterized by a design with maximum discretion, aimed at demanding consumers in the fields of radio, television, and hi-fi. Today, Bang & Olufsen's specialty is the principle of 'customization,' especially through home automation, connecting the brand's devices with intelligent home systems. The hardware from the 1990s remains scalable, enabling features like Wi-Fi. Bang & Olufsen also equips some models of BMW, Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG, Audi, and Ford.
