The Orant Virgin with the souls of the righteous in Paradise.
(and also: "The Virgin in the Garden of Eden / Mother of God of the Righteous")
The Virgin Mary appears standing, praying (with her hands raised), a position that symbolizes intercession for humanity.
On both sides, there are two groups of people.
Without crown, dressed in light robes → The souls of the righteous.
Entry into Paradise.
Behind the saints, red bushes with flames: they represent the Garden of Eden, divine light, or the purifying fire.
Above, within a celestial arch:
Christ in blessing (Pantocrátor), receiving his Mother's prayer.
Angels hold red cloths: a symbol of protection and salvation.
This icon expresses:
The Virgin intercedes for the world, and Christ welcomes the righteous into Paradise after salvation.
It is an eschatological vision (of the end times), very common in the Slavic and Balkan tradition.
Or something like that.
Russian or Balkan

Egg temple on a board with gold
The deterioration of the gold and the cracking are consistent with that age.
