Exceptionally rare original Royal Order issued by Maria Theresa, Empress of Austria and sovereign of the Habsburg Monarchy.
Hand-signed by the Empress “Maria Theresia” on 28 March 1750.
This document concerns the regulations “Wie die Invaliden Soldaten insgemein versorgt werden sollen” (“How the invalid soldiers should be cared for”), an important administrative directive relating to military welfare under Maria Theresa’s reforms.
Printed in Vienna by Johann Peter van Ghelen, official printer to the Imperial Court (“Römisch-Kayserliche, Königliche Majestät Hofbuchdrucker").
