Description from the seller
In 1937, construction began on the Japanese battleship Yamato (Japanese: 大和). During World War II, it served as a battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy and was launched in 1941 in the utmost secrecy at the Kure docks. The Yamato was named after the ancient Japanese province of Yamato. Along with its sister ship Musashi, it was the heaviest battleship ever built. This is offered here as a scale model. It is in top condition and, of course, fully handcrafted, allowing its special details to stand out. Materials used include metal and wood. It is a 1:1 scale comparison to the 'real' ship. Such a model is very rare due to its size and museum-quality craftsmanship.
This item must be picked up in Weert, the Netherlands.
