Description from the seller

Here I offer the extremely rare combination of the Batavia.
Neither the book nor the ship model is available on the market in this condition.

The Batavia was a Dutch spiegelretourschip of the VOC from the 17th century. The wreck is currently located in a museum in Fremantle, Australia. The Batavia was built between 1627 and 1628 at the Peperwerf in Amsterdam. Between 1985 and 1995, a reconstruction was built, which is still viewable today. This most iconic ship is of world-class and is offered here as a scale model. The materials used are comparable 1:1 with the actual ship from centuries ago. It is in top condition and, of course, completely handmade, allowing special accents to stand out well.

Note: This item must be picked up in Weert, Netherlands.

Keywords: model ship, ship model, model boat, model building, model construction, scale model, hobby, small-scale imitation, scale model example, boat, ship, frigate, sea, sailors, ships, pirates, pirate boat, VOC, Golden Age, three-masted, two-masted, master, Lemsteraak, barque, vitrine, display case, glass dome, plexiglass, glass, Wasa, Vasa, San Felipe, San Philippe, Felippe, seven provinces, the 7 provinces, book, booklet, Batavia, clipper, return ship, fluyt.
