Description from the seller
Lenco BA 639 turntable, new, never used, still packaged in its original box from 1963. The model up for auction undoubtedly represents the flagship product of the Swiss company from the early 1960s and was chosen by the Castiglioni brothers for the design and production of the award-winning Brionvega Fv 1012 and Fv 1013 turntables displayed at MoMA in New York. The turntable model offered at auction ceased production in 1969, becoming a niche object with a unique feature that still endures today. It is one of the most sought-after 'universal' turntables on the market as spare parts by collectors and repairers. The auction includes the platter, mat, springs, pulleys, motor, support, and electronic components, which are practically adaptable for repairing or replacing almost all multi-brand vintage hi-fi components from the 60s and 70s. This turntable can be used for new hi-fi projects or as a complete replacement for damaged old equipment. The presence of its original springs inside the packaging, still sealed (see photo), guarantees perfect stability and friction for any support used. It’s like stepping into a time capsule, entering a 60s hi-fi shop, and buying exactly what you need. A family-owned item, perfectly preserved and only opened for photos. Fast shipping and shockproof packaging are guaranteed.
