Ancient Egyptian faience amulet of the jackal god Anubis, Late Period (7th–4th century BC), in excellent condition, dimensions 2.3 cm high, 1 cm wide, 0.7 cm deep, acquired in 2023 from the United Kingdom via a private collection and the A.A. Gallery.

- Anubis, the jackal-headed god, oversaw the embalming process. He also bore the epithet "lord of the hallowed ground," meaning protector of the necropolis. Anubis had a significant role in the judgment of the dead when he supervised the weighing of the heart for Osiris.
