Description from the seller
No shipping to Switzerland
Rhum Rhum Libération 2020 is an agricultural rum produced on the island of Marie-Galante, the result of a collaboration between Luca Gargano and Gianni Capovilla.
The rum is made from sugar cane grown by hand on Marie-Galante and underwent a very long fermentation period before being distilled in 2011 in small copper pot stills heated in a water bath. It is aged in noble wood barrels that previously contained fine French wines.
This rum is the result of a wonderful adventure: in 2004, Luca Gargano (Velier) and Gianni Capovilla (recognized worldwide as one of the best distillers) decided to combine their shared passion to produce an agricultural rum in Marie-Galante in an unusual, if not unique, way: pure sugar cane juice is fermented without the addition of water for 10 days at a controlled temperature. The rum is then distilled in the same way as pears or apples, using two small copper pot stills in a water bath and a double distillation process.
