Description from the seller

Pair of pierced cups on a footed base – White porcelain with gilding – Germany (Saxony / Thuringia) – Late 19th / early 20th century – Incised mark 'M'.

Elegant pair of cups on a white porcelain stand, richly decorated with gold gilding, featuring a basketweave openwork design and a Rocaille decoration typical of German productions from Saxony and Thuringia at the end of the 19th century.

Each cup rests on a foot rim decorated with scrollwork, modeled in a style very characteristic of German porcelain workshops (Dresden / Thuringia), with hand-applied gilding. Incised mark 'M', consistent with small workshops active in this region during the period.

State

Cohesive decorative ensemble.

Partially attenuated gilding by use.

A cut shows an internal crack (visible in the photo).

Minor signs of wear, with small micro-chips at the base.

Old cork stopper in one of the bases (original or from an older stabilization).

Detailed photos are an integral part of the description.

Provenance

Germany, Saxony / Thuringia region, production attributable to a German porcelain workshop from the late 19th – early 20th century.

Incised mark 'M' under the base.

Shipping

Secure packaging suitable for perforated parts: double protection, bubble wrap, reinforced padding.

Shipment with tracking and insurance depending on the destination.
