Description from the seller
Rolleicord I Art Deco produced between 1933 and 1936, an enchanting medium format 6x6 biottica with the characteristic decorated front panel and chrome finishes, complete with its original brown leather case. The camera body is in fair condition, showing normal signs of use consistent with its age but without structural damage, making it ideal for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage photography. The Compur shutter operates at all speeds, including slow speeds, allowing still to shoot on 120 film today. The Carl Zeiss Anastigmat lens features clean, scratch-free glass, while the viewfinder glass and mirror are clean and provide good visibility in the viewfinder. Focusing is smooth and precise, with side-mounted sliding controls. The film transport functions well, with smooth advancement and an operational frame counter. The leather case, embossed with the Rolleicord logo, has a charming vintage appearance and adequately protects the camera. Overall, this is a well-preserved vintage piece, perfect both as an art deco display item and as a usable camera for those wishing to experience the charm of medium format photography with an authentic 1930s instrument. Overall condition is good.
