Zeiss Ikon Contax II, model II + CZJ Sonnar 2/50mm T, rangefinder camera tested and working in very good overall condition.
Description from the seller
Zeiss Ikon Contax II Del 1950, a historic 35mm rangefinder camera with a Carl Zeiss Sonnar 5cm f/2 T lens, offered in excellent aesthetic and functional condition. The camera body is in very good condition, with well-preserved black coatings and shiny metal parts, showing only minimal signs of use consistent with its age. The shutter operates at all speeds, including slow speeds, with curtains in excellent condition and no visible irregular folds. The film transport is smooth, and the advance lever responds correctly. The lens has clean, nearly new-looking glass, with still-uniform coatings and no noticeable scratches or fungi; the diaphragm is clean and fully functional, with dry blades and sharp snaps. Focusing is smooth and precise, suitable for practical use even today. The telemeter viewfinder provides a good view and facilitates framing and focusing. The front cap visible in the photo is included. This Contax II represents an excellent opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts of analog photography interested in an iconic post-war model, still fully usable on 35mm film, with high-quality Zeiss optics and mechanical charm from a bygone era.
