D. Duviliers Fils - D. Duviliers Fils - Strongbox - Steel, Iron - Beautiful fireproof safe

This beautifully preserved antique fireproof safe was crafted by D. Duvilers Fils, (Ghent, Belgium). It is an authentic 19th-century piece and a fine example of Belgian craftsmanship from that era.

This safe is made entirely of solid iron and painted in an elegant wood-grain imitation finish, which was a popular decorative style for high-end safes in the late 1800s. It features ornate gilded details and a clearly legible original maker’s plate on the front. The safe is equipped with a double locking mechanism and still comes with its original keys.

It has been in the family for as long as we can remember, adding to its charm and provenance.
