Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Spinosaurus dinosaur tooth specimen from the Late Cretaceous, Morocco, natural condition, 8.5 cm high and 2 cm wide.
Description from the seller
In this lot, I offer a good-sized Spinosaurus tooth.
Perfect preservation and completely natural.
Wear facets caused by use on the animal at the tip and slightly on the mesial carina.
It is simply fascinating to imagine that the tooth was in the jaws of this great animal and that it was used repeatedly.
Spectacular intense red color typical of the material from this area of river deposits, the red sands of the Kem-Kem basin, located along the border between Morocco and Algeria.
Comes from Begaa near Taouz, Errachidia Province, Morocco.
The Kem-Kem beds are continental fluvial deposits contributed by a large river from the Cenomanian-Turonian Cretaceous and floodplains where several species of vertebrates have been discovered, including elasmobranchs, bony fishes, coelacanths, turtles, pterosaurs, dinosaurs, birds, and crocodiles.
They have referred to this place as an area where danger lurks by land, sea, and air.
"It must have been a spectacular ecosystem."
Spinosaurus is considered one of the largest land predators in history.
